Betty Xie, Editor-in-Chief, Chinese Restaurant NewsBetty Xie is the Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Restaurant News (CRN). She has been with the magazine since its first issue with the company founders in July 1995. Since then, CRN has grown from a 16-page newsletter to its current 212-page nationally-distributed monthly publication for the 17.5 billion Chinese restaurant industry in the U.S. Printed in Chinese, CRN is distributed to 43,000 Chinese restaurants in all 50 states. CRN informs the owners and operators of Chinese restaurants of up-to-date industry news and trends in a language they prefer to read. It has been the mission for CRN to grow with American Chinese restaurants and to help Chinese restaurateurs grow their business. Ms. Xie has a Master's degree in Bilingual Education with a minor in Communication from California State University.
